[Aside from the apology to the woman -- whose name he'd only just found out -- Anders hadn't said much lately. He'd thought it best to keep his head down. Not only was it a little embarrassing to have been pushed so easily over the edge, but it had been dangerous. For her, not him.
He remembers the little mage girl, terrified of the man who'd tried to protect her from the templar... because of what he'd become before her eyes...
So he's gone out walking. He's been out all day, just keeping in motion. It keeps his mind from racing, and helps map out the general area. As it begins to turn to evening, he finally makes his way back to the keep. Only to find something unexpected.
Hot pools. Steaming hot, in fact.
There's a few minutes of debate and hesitation. But there doesn't seem to be anyone around. And the long day of walking has sort of made him feel a bit sore. That seems to settle it, and the mage shrugs out of his coat. And pants. It's only when he ducks into a pool that he suddenly notices something unusual.
...
He'd never had a tattoo there before.]
Andraste's burned backside--! Where...?
[At least there's no one around to see his confusion. ... For now.]

Action
When Hawke arrives at the pools to map them he finds Anders doing...he's not sure actually.]
Rash? And here you were the one telling me to be careful around Isabela.
Action
It's not a rash, it's--
[Frustrated hand gestures go here.]
A tattoo. Apparently.
Action
That's what happens when you drink too much. I would have thought you would know better.
[Of course he knows what Anders is talking about, but he's going to be a pest about it anyway.]
Action
You and I both know I can't get drunk. Much less tattoo myself under the influence.

Action
... You're enjoying this, aren't you?
Action
[He starts walking around the pools taking notes on his map.]
Besides I really doubt that you're responsible for mine anyway.
Action
[He stays put, folding his arms ineffectually. More so he doesn't glance down at the writing on his stomach again, than anything.]
For... yours? You have one as well?
Action
[Hawke just busies himself with his map, not wanting to see anymore of the nude mage. He's already seen enough skin.]
On my chest. Not sure how it got there but I know if I had been the one to pick it then it would be a lot more impressive.
Action
Something involving swords and stabbing, I assume. And not... well.
What is it?
Action
[Hawke is really wishing he found this place sooner. That tub in his room is pathetic.]
Maybe it's profanity in a completely different language.
[Because if he was going to tattoo someone who was unconscious that's what he would do.]
Action
[Anders is wishing Hawke had found this place at a different time -- save them both a bit of awkward.]
On both of us? Because I've got writing as well... Justice doesn't recognize it, either.
Action
It's not just us. I've heard others talking about having them as well. I think it's safe to say they've tagged all of us.

A small frog hops towards Anders, giving a ribbit that's surprisingly loud for its size.]

[So he'll turn his back, and go on trying to figure out what that tattoo is.]

Ack-!
[And he swats at it, shaking his arm.]

It blinks up at him and croaks again.]

[Anders, you're talking to a frog.]
[He splashes some water at it, in a shoo-go-away sort of gesture.]
no subject
It makes another hop for Anders' arm.]
no subject
Go on, shoo!

[He swats at it again. If necessary, he'll summon up one of the few offensive spells to get rid of it.]

Hello shoulder! It keeps going, straight on a path for Anders' neck.]

[He swats at it again, with both hands. There's an ice spell boiling at back of his mind.]
